Intro to Import Compliance Training

Import compliance is a critical factor in any supply chain, for any logistics and even financial institution. Compliance and enforcement agencies now look at everyone in the supply chain, not just the beginning or endpoint of a transaction. It is critical to ensure import-related compliance is adhered to and understood, which is the goal of this BITE U Course.

Course Description

Import compliance involves adhering to rules and regulations that govern the import of goods into domestic commerce, including the following components: 

- Proper classification of goods
- Providing a proper value of goods
- Identifying the country of origin
- Understanding any applicable licensing requirements and 
- Ensuring that all documentation is completed properly
- Identify risks related to doing business with sanctioned entities
- Identifying risks related to trading in sensitive technology, licensable commodities and tariff evasions / anti-dumping.
