Introducing BITE's First Agentic AI Import and Export Compliance Workflows

Global trade compliance teams are facing growing complexity, managing tariffs, classifications, export controls, and rapidly changing regulations. At BITE, we believe the future lies in intelligent workflows that guide decision-making, surface risk in real time, and connect fragmented trade data into a single operational flow.
That's why we're excited to introduce our first agentic AI import and export compliance workflows. These new tools combine AI-assisted classification, tariff analysis, screening, and regulatory checks into guided experiences designed to help trade professionals work more efficiently, identify risk earlier, and make more informed decisions.
Why "Agentic AI" Makes a Difference
Unlike traditional tools that require manual navigation and disconnected databases, BITE's new agentic AI workflows actively guide users through the compliance process.
They achieve this by:
- Asking contextual follow-up questions and dynamically adjusting based on user inputs
- Surfacing relevant regulatory risks automatically
- Connecting multiple compliance steps into a single, cohesive workflow, saving results into reusable compliance tickets
This shift moves compliance teams from reactive research to proactive decision-making.
Overview of the New Workflows
The Import Compliance Workflow
The new Import Workflow streamlines classification, tariff analysis, and compliance screening into a single experience.
Users begin by describing the product, and the workflow uses AI-powered questioning and trade logic to guide the review process, offering suggested 10-digit HTS classifications and relevant references.
A key improvement is BITE's real-time tariff calculation engine, which automatically generates applicable Chapter 99 tariff codes, calculates duties, and allows users to simulate tariff exposure and evaluate impacts like Section 301.
Crucially, the workflow also surfaces potential risks such as anti-dumping exposure, transshipment concerns, and PGA requirements, consolidating insights that historically required multiple separate checks.
The goal is simple: reduce manual effort while improving visibility and consistency.
The Export Compliance Workflow
Our new Export Control Workflow focuses on simplifying export screening and licensing analysis, a process often requiring navigation of multiple frameworks like EAR, ITAR, and NRC requirements.
The workflow organizes the review into a guided sequence, walking users through Schedule B classification, destination country risk assessment, dual-use screening, and ECCN analysis.
The AI-powered screening identifies potential export control concerns tied to both products and destinations earlier in the process, allowing for appropriate escalation and deeper compliance review when necessary.
Like the import tool, all results are saved to maintain traceable and collaborative compliance records.
Building Smarter Trade Compliance
Trade compliance professionals are under constant pressure from complexity and fragmented data.
These agentic AI workflows are designed to support human expertise by helping teams organize information faster, identify risk earlier, and reduce repetitive manual research.
This release is the first step toward a future where importers, exporters, and compliance teams can operate with more visibility, speed, and confidence inside a unified BITE platform.
